This paper examines prevailing position of women in India and highlights the reasons behind it along with suggesting some remedies for boosting the ‘triple E’ needed for the development of women in India: Education, Employment, Empowerment.The late twentieth Century was the age of future with a lot of advancements not only in the field of Electronics and Telecommunication but also in the field of Information Technology and Communication (ITC) based on hi-fi world of computers and internet.The future belongs to these sectors of economy. The study finds that the power of knowledge juxtaposed with the tool of technology might help the women in a developing country like India, to be empowered economically and socially.
