Abstract
The purpose of this report is to quantify and illustrate the biological and/or behavioural effect of infant death on pregnancy interval based on the experience of women aged 15-49 covered by the [1977 World Fertility Survey] of Lesotho....[The author analyzes] the length of last closed pregnancy interval (LCPI) by survival status of the penultimate live birth and discusses the effect of age of women, status and duration of breast-feeding, age at death of penultimate child, and pregnancy order of penultimate live birth on the LCPI.
