Abstract
It wasn’t long ago when Africa was called the “Lost” or “Forgotten” Continent. How the world has changed! Now, the Economist refers to a Rising Africa, a continent whose impressive growth is expected to continue; quite different from the “hopeless” label bestowed upon Africa a decade ago (The Economist, 2011). Stephen Hayes, the President and CEO of the Corporate Council on Africa said in the September 2011 issue of Africa e-Journal that “...the nations of Africa are experiencing one of the greatest booms in business in their history…The future of Africa is tied to the level of investment going into Africa, the last great frontier in the world for new investment and development.”
