Abstract
This study examined the influence of education on adolescents’ sexual behaviour in Donga Local
Government Area of Taraba State, Nigeria. It adopted a survey research design and multi-stage sampling
procedure was used to select the five hundred and sixty seven respondents. A self constructed and validated
questionnaire tagged Adolescent Sexual Behaviour Inventory (ASBI) was used for data collection. The
instrument was complimented with oral interview to elicit information from the students sampled for the
study. Data collection was analysed using frequency counts, percentages, ANOVA and t-test. The result
showed that there was a significant relationship between education level and adolescent sexual behaviour
(at .05 level). The study concluded that educational influence contributed significantly to adolescent sexual
behaviour. Against this back ground the study concluded and recommended that all stakeholders in
adolescent sexual behaviour and reproductive health matters, collaborate to reinforce reproductive and
sexual health education among adolescent students and provide them with convenient and optional
services that are easily accessible.
