| Abstract | Over 350 million people worldwide are living with diabetes mellitus— majority of these people live in developing countries1 . • Diabetes mellitus is a major public health challenge in the Caribbean— especially English-speaking Caribbean nations—where reported prevalence rates are higher than developed countries and is one of the leading causes of death2,3 . • Despite the high disease burden and frequent complications of diabetes mellitus, there is limited data and resources that can be used to allocate crucial health services for diabetes mellitus |
