Abstract
The objective of this study is to evaluate the degree of pollution of oil extraction olive waste water discharged
directly to the receiving environment (Wadi R'dom the Sidi Kacem city). And the problems posed qualifies them as liquid
material polluting the environment the case of surface waters and low-flow land application, the results of some physic- chemical parameters in terms of conductivity, salinity, biological demand oxygen (BOD5), chemical oxygen demand (COD),
the rate of sediment dissolved (TDS) and suspended solids (SS) are respectively significant mean values of the four study sites
22.61 ± 12.43 g / l, 12.63 ± 8.35 mg/l, 24.87±9.55 g/l, 103±16.21 g/l, 13.66±9.27 g/l and 9.37±7,62 g/l exceeding standards
designed.
Measuring parameters pH, redox potential, conductivity, salinity, dissolved oxygen, and temperature of the water, was made
by a multi-parameter analyzer Consort kind C535 and Hanna Instruments HI 98280. The chemical demand oxygen, total
nitrogen, chloride and nitrate are recorded by a multiparameter photometer HANNA Type C 214 (HI 83214) and BOD5 BOD
unit. Statistical analysis is accomplished by principal component analysis in XLSTATsoftware. Like these results, Wastewater
olive mill pollute the environment effect of acidic pH and antibacterial polyphenols where ground application and direct
discharge to the river at low flow, which requires proper treatment to save the ecosystem and water resources.
