Abstract |
This final report presents findings on the 1999 Ukraine Reproductive Health Survey, a population-based nationwide survey of women of reproductive age ranging from 15 to 44 years that was carried out from June to October 2000. Interviews were conducted with an estimated sample of about 7000 women, performed in conjunction with the Ukraine Women's Reproductive Health Initiative project sponsored by US Agency for International Development. The Initiative aimed to improve the quality of reproductive health services, access to services, increase contraceptive use, and reduce abortion rates. Survey results provided information on: characteristics of respondents; pregnancy and fertility; induced abortion; infertility; contraception; contraceptive counseling; information, education, and communication, sexual experience, maternal and child health/women's health, sexually transmitted infections, and domestic violence. - See more at: http://www.popline.org/node/181366#sthash.1X5g0tJU.dpuf |
