Izeh is a part of Bakhtiarian area this region is now occupied by speakers of Izeh
Bakhtiarian dialect. Through the history, Izeh population has influenced the
phonology, lexicon, and syntax of Old Persian language, both directly and indirectly
and there are some important difference between the dialect common in Izeh area and
other Bakhtiarian population. This study is trying to find any relationship between
vowel sounds substructures used in Bakhtiarian Izeh dialect and its ancient ancestors
such as Old Iranian dialects. Results of this study regarding the transformation of
vowel sounds shows that , Izeh dialects spoken in Izeh territory reflect an earlier stage
of Old Persian influence, in comparison with the more recent and ongoing direct
influences of new Bakhtiarian dialect spoken in current Bakctiary region. In other
word, Persian models have served as the stimulus for the beginnings of literary
production in most of these dialects since vowel sounds in Bakhtiarian Izeh dialect are
mainly transformed from Old Iranian roots in first, middle and last part of the words.
In some words there has been double transformation of vowel sounds in just one
word. Such close relationship between Bakhtiarian Izeh and old Iranian dialect is
resulted from this fact that there have been many ancient cultural sculptures and
drawing , tools and instrument from Ilam dynasty living in this territory before Islam
showing this territory was the center of ancient Iran 20 decades ago.
