The aim of the paper is to analyze the distribution of subsidies in the agricultural sector of the Republic of Moldova during 2011-2014. Thus, the authors have analyzed the subsidies allocated to farmers by directions and regions. The research is based on data provided by theAgency of Interventions and Payments in Agriculture and the National Bureau of Statistics. During the analyzed period, the amount ofsubsidies allocated to farmers had increased but still there are inequalities in the distributed funds, difficulties in obtaining the payments and lack of transparency. Also, a clear and consistent policy that could be implemented through the allocation ofsubsides aimed at developing the agricultural sector is missing.
