Abstract
This paper explores the opportunity of a cooperation and
knowledge sharing among the two developing yet promising
countries, Bangladesh and Rwanda. Using our own comparative
framework and field research data, we critically analyze two
specific ICT infused community health services in Bangladesh
and Rwanda, and explore whether, under a common comparative
framework, these two countries can learn from each other. We
found that Rwanda has a top down approach with the government
leading the implementations. On the other hand Bangladesh has a
more inclusive approach with feedback loop among all the
stakeholders. Such difference in the approach is reflected in three
main aspects: service design, collaboration with partners and
sustainability. We propose that sustainable entrepreneurship using
health and related information as a commodity among the
community health workers, supported by long term planning and
strategic partnerships.
