This paper initially discusses the definition of household production from existing literature
and likewise considers the definition adopted by the Colombian government to the
concept of telework, allowing develop a more robust view of what this may represent
labor supply of individuals and noting the contribution of telework in a family or household context. Following is a brief look at what it has meant telework in some nations that have
tried to make this an innovative tool from the point of view of the labor market; Also, using
the National Survey of Quality of Life (ENCV) for the years 2011, 2012 and 2013 with a
logit model for each year is estimated by determining the impact is that this modern form
of work (influenced by the rise ICT) has been developed in Colombia, identifying the
fundamental aspects for follow up.
