Abstract
Migration has emerged as a major global policy issue
in 2015 following the massive influx of Syrian and
other refugees into Europe. However, migration has
always been a major phenomenon in the Middle East
and North Africa (MENA) region, which is among the
first regions in terms of origin and destination for migrants.
The MENA region also ranks first in terms of
unemployment rate in the World (ILO, 2015). It thus
seems particularly relevant to study the interactions
between labor mobility and employment outcomes
