This chapter presents the status of adult education and implications of education for older adults in Namibia. A critical look at the evolution and provision of adult education in the country over a 24 year period, regarding programme and policy development is presented. Attention is paid to the history, policies, providers and other stakeholders who practise adult education to meet the needs of youth and young adults as well as the purpose of adult education provision in the country. Finally, the chapter elaborates on the need for education for older adults in the country.
