Abstract
The Angolan educational system has been developed in a fragile post-conflict context, along
with a social, cultural and economic reconstruction. The government has been trying to address
global development agendas, planning strategies for a better education, although spending state
budget resources below the average percentage SADC countries spend on education. Unanimous
voices from governmental, non-governmental and academic organizations point out gaps in the
teaching quality, mainly resulting from inadequate training systems.
