incidence and prevalence, as well as
programme implementation, has been
observed between and within countries.
Methods to generate subnational estimates of
HIV prevalence and the number of people
living with HIV are being explored in
response to the urgent need for data at
smaller administrative units, in order to
inform programming that is aligned with
local community needs.
