Abstract
The paper will be made a comparative analysis of the emissions are continuously measured
as SO2 and NOx in the atmosphere in the Republic of Macedonia. The trend of the total emission
of pollutants will be displayed by sectors of activities under the SNAP Nomenclature for the
period 2001-2010. Will be processed and the trend of the total amount of emitted SO2 and NOx
by several sources and shown for many years and cartographic items. Emissions of acidifying
substances cause damage to human health, ecosystems, buildings and materials. This paper aims
to show the situation in the Republic of Macedonia regarding this issue and what progress has
been made in reducing acidifying substance emissions in the air.
