| Abstract | A total of sixty-three stories in all, recipients of the Carlos Palanca Memorial Award for Literature in the Philippines from 1991-2011, were read, reviewed, and analyzed for narrative themes. Nine out of sixty-three stories dealt with various forms of disorders or disabilities.
