Abstract
Sex ratio which is defined in India as the number of females per thousand males is in a decreasing rate in India. Like many third world countries sex preference of the parents towards the male child exists in India. Female infanticide is a social evil and is practiced is several societies of the country. With the advances of medical science this evil has taken a new shape. However, there are some societies in the country who are not over powered by this evil. The paper discuss one such society.
