Abstract
This document discusses the current food security situation and agricultural production systems in Timor Leste,
and drawing on the recent climate change and population predictions describes a likely future food security
environment which extrapolates on the available scientific articles related to climate change in Timor Leste. This
report provides a more in-depth analysis of the current food and nutrition security situation than previous papers
and presents, discusses and outlines plans for implementation of proposed interventions. Through looking at the
issues related to food production and availability, and analysing potential solutions to climate and population
forces in unison we are able to make suggestions on agricultural interventions that may assist local, national and
international institutions in understanding climate risks, adapting their policies and mainstreaming climate
appropriate agricultural interventions into their projects and thus assist in reducing    future food and nutrition
insecurity in Timor Leste.
