Abstract
Today residential areas considered as the major uses of urban land and half of these urban land will
be devoted to these usages in recent years by growing urbanization and its consequences these
,lack of lack of clear standard for construction urban land usage face such problems : shortages,
regarding quantities and qualitative indicators for housing and… .This paper examines the quality
and quantity status of housing in Tabriz by using selected indicators. The purpose of this paper is to
evaluate housing quantity and quality in Tabriz on the base of public census in 1976 to 2011 and its
attempt aimed to compare the results of each census period with subsequent and previous periods by
the research type is developmental – applied and its evaluation method is using healthy city criteria.
In the quantity of Excel is used for data analysis and drawing a diagram. descriptive – analytical.
housing indicators such as: Household density of housing units, the density of housing units, the
density room housing units, the density of people in the rooms, rooms for each family Dr sdkmbvd
housing, family room, living density housing units per household has been studied And the results of
its review of these indicators improved in 2011 compared to recent years show. In the housing quality
indicators such as: Durable housing, the mean age of housing units, ownership of residential,
facilities residential units have been evaluated And the results of the study indicate that durable
housing, residential facilities as well as residential lifetime improved in 2011 compared to recent
years, But the survey found that the number of occupied housing units added to the rental housing
units and the number of residential property has declined. in the next section of the paper were going
to predict Tabriz population and housing needs up to 2021 and it was determined that during this
period up to 99227 new housing units are needed in this city.
