The relationship between Ugep and Idomi farming communities in Central Cross River State of Nigeria
is ancient and historical. But, in recent times, people have been experiencing recurring incidences of
violent boundary disputes. This paper attempts a discourse of the causes of the 1992 Ugep-Idomi
boundary conflict with some practical solutions. It makes extensive use of primary and secondary
sources in analyzing the conflict that was accentuated by land hunger between the two communities.
