Abstract
The following document is intended to analyze the profitability
rate of the metropolitan areas of Colombia from the perspective
of the theory of human capital, based on variable Bogota a data
from the Great Integrated Household Survey (GEIH), in the period between 2009 col 2013 para 13 metropolitan areas. As a methodological
tool, estimates were made using Mincer equations on income,
in this regard, selection through the method proposed by
Heckman (1979) was corrected. The main conclusion that yielded
estimates, which is the rate of return on metropolitan areas below is
obtained para Bogotá.
This product makes part of the Development Research Project
called the “Importance of the role of neighborhood store retail and
strategies in the context of endogenous development of Bogotá”, where
researchers converge deferential Colombian and foreign universities.
