Labour is the main driving force of the economy of Bangladesh.
Unfortunately they are also the most neglected community. Much has been
talked about for their welfare. But little has been done. Government can play
a vital role for the development of labor through appropriate budgetary
allocation. The present paper aims to identify the problem of labor, existing
budgetary allocation for labor, whether the allocation is sufficient and done in
line with the needs of labour, the sectors that require budgetary allocation
most and what can be done for future development of labor through
increasing and implementing budgetary allocation.
