Public-use dataset adults noncommunicable diseases risk factors health surveys tobacco Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS) The Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS) is the global standard to systematically monitor adult tobacco use and track key tobacco control indicators. GATS is a nationally representative household survey of adults 15 years of age or older, using a standard protocol. It is intended to generate comparable data within and across countries. GATS enhances countries' capacity to design, implement and evaluate tobacco control interventions. Bangladesh National Individuals Adults aged 15 years or older. Sample survey data [ssd] A multi-stage, geographically clustered sample design was used to produce nationally representative data. One individual was randomly chosen from each selected household to participate in the survey. Face-to-face [f2f] See Sample Weights Manual. The household response rate was 97.7%, the individual response rate was 95.8% and the overall response rate was 93.6%. There were a total of 9629 completed interviews. The data is being distributed without warranty of any kind. The responsibility for the use of the data lies with the user. In no event shall the World Health Organization be liable for damages arising from its use.
