El universo de la muestra estudiado representa el I00 por ciento de la población total del país. Ninguna área geográfica fuc excluida en esta encuesta.
Sample survey data
La EDESA 99 fue implementada en todo el territorio nacional. La muestra fue disenada con el objectivo de tener alrededor de 1,200 entrevistas completas tanto de mujeres de 15-49 anos como de hombres de 15-59 anos, selectionadas(os) de aproximadamente 1,600 hogares. La muestra de la EDESA 99 es una submuestra de 79 conglomerados del total de 425 que fueron seleccionados par la ENDESA 96. Los 79 conglomerados seleccionados estan distribuidos en todas las provincias dela pais. Despues de seleccionados, se hizo un recuento completo de vivendas particulares en cada uno de ellos, mediante una actualizacion en el terreno. Finalmente, de la lista actualizada de viviendas de cada uno de los 79 conglomerados se selecciono, en forma aleatoria, un numero fijo de 20 vivendas particulares.
