Analysis is conducted at the national as well as sub-national levels including the parish level and the level of the capital Roseau.\n\nThe 2001 Population and Housing Census in Dominica was conducted on May 12 and resulted in a non-institutional population of 69,625 persons comprised of 35,073 males and 34,552 females yielding an overall sex ratio of 102 males per 100 females.
