<sampProc>The sampling frame was the one from the census 2003 complemented by new units from Enterprise Register. The frame was split into 5 strata by legal personality, economic size, type of farming, by location and certain characteristics (agricultural area, dairy cows, pigs and poultry). All legal persons and all family farms of at least 2 ESU were surveyed exhaustively. From the other strata a simple random sample was taken. The final sample contained almost 66 thousand farms including 330 new ones.</sampProc>
