The Public Opinion Research Group surveyed 29 countries in FY2012 (July 2011-June 2012) and 41 countries in FY2013 (July 2012-June 2013). In FY2014, surveys were conducted in 42 countries and in FY2015 - in 35 countries. The Country Opinion Survey in the Republic of Cabo Verde assists the World Bank Group (WBG) in gaining a better understanding of how stakeholders in the Republic of Cabo Verde perceive the WBG. It provides the WBG with systematic feedback from national and local governments, multilateral/bilateral agencies, media, academia, the private sector, and civil society in Cabo Verde on: 1. Their views regarding the general environment of the Republic of Cabo Verde. 2. Their overall attitudes toward the WBG in the Republic of Cabo Verde. 3. Overall impressions of the WBG's effectiveness and results, knowledge work and activities, and communication and information sharing in the Republic of Cabo Verde. 4. Participants were drawn from the Office of the President/Prime Minister; office of a minister; office of a parliamentarian; ministries/ministerial departments; Project Management Units (PMUs) overseeing implementation of WBG projects; consultants/contractors working on WBG-supported projects/ programs; local governments; bilateral/multilateral agencies; private sector organizations; private foundations; the financial sector/private banks; non-profit organizations/community based organizations; the media; independent government institutions; trade unions; faith-based groups; youth groups; academia/research institutes/think tanks; the judiciary branch; and other organizations.
