The Public Opinion Research Group surveyed 29 countries in FY2012 (July 2011-June 2012), 41 countries in FY2013 (July 2012-June 2013), 42 countries in FY2014 (July 2013-June 2014), 35 countries in FY2015 (July 2014-June 2015), 45 countries in FY2016 (July 2015-June 2016), 35 countries in FY2017 (July 2016-June 2017), 39 countries in FY2018 (July 2017-June 2018), and 42 countries in FY2019 (July 2018-June 2019). In FY2020, surveys were conducted in 24 countries. Nearly all of the World Bank Group's client countries are surveyed in every three year cycle. Version 01. The results in this year’s Country Survey were compared to those in the FY’17 Country Survey (response rate was 43%, N=632). The samples from FY ’17 and FY ’20 were quite disparate among certain stakeholder groups, making it difficult to weight them for equivalence while maintaining statistical reliability. Therefore, the comparisons by year were analyzed using the original distribution of stakeholders for both years and because of that, it is possible that some differences in responding between years may reflect differences in the samples for FY ’17 and FY ’20, not necessarily changes in attitudes over time.
