The survey, deployed from August 13 to 20, captured thousands of citizens’ perspectives about the explosion’s impact, their resulting needs, and their experiences with and expectations for assistance and reconstruction. The survey consisted of 29 questions, including questions to identify respondent demographics (age, gender, education, location, and level of income); measuring how the August 4 explosions impacted respondents and their families; and assessing their needs, perceptions towards the fairness of aid delivery, and trust in institutional actors that may be involved in reconstruction efforts. Lebanon Residents of Beirut and areas within a seven mile radius as targeted by geolocated Facebook ads. Sample survey data [ssd] The sampling frame included all internet users in Beirut and surrounding areas who were able to be targeted by Facebook ad. The ad reached approximately two million such users. Internet [int] Web based survey The design of the post-stratification calibration weight seeks to provide estimates that lie within the boundaries of known population values of characteristics consisting of sex, age, area of residence (zone), household size, number of rooms, and educational attainment. It relies on a two-step approach including computation of a design weight and a calibration weight. The user of the data acknowledges that the original collector of the data, the authorized distributor of the data, and the relevant funding agency bear no responsibility for use of the data or for interpretations or inferences based upon such uses.
