Rwanda The dataset includes markets in 21 districts of Rwanda, covering all 4 provinces. Product (one observation per product per month per market). Sample survey data [ssd] The study provides price data for a basket of 69 products, from 148 rural markets across 21 districts in Rwanda. The data starts in January 2017 and goes through November 2020. Innovations for Poverty Action - Rwanda Markets were purposively sampled, based on proximity to roads prioritized for rehabilitation by the Government of Rwanda. Computer Assisted Personal Interview [capi] Data was collected through in-person interviews (enumerators recorded data on tablets) from January 2017 through March 2020. Due to the global pandemic, fieldwork halted in March 2020 and data collection switched to phone-based surveys using the same enumeration team and a comparable survey instrument. Regular field supervision was provided by the organization responsible for data collection, Innovations for Poverty Action - Rwanda. Supervision included regular unannounced field visits and refresher trainings of all enumerators every other month. Research team staff conducted random spot checks of field work. Licensed Data.
