The Labour Force Survey represents the most complete study of the labour force and the fluctuations in the labour market. The main objective of this survey is to obtain data about three main categories of population: the employed, the unemployed and the inactive. The survey specially takes into account the working-age population (aged from 15 to 64 years old) and the data collected are used to monitor, to measure and to assess the economic and social trends in the Republic of Serbia.
Abstract
The main objective of the audit of the Labor Force in 2008 year is to obtain data on the basic operating characteristics of the population and estimates of the total workforce in the country according recommendations and definitions: Council Regulation (EC) No 577/98,
Regulation (EC) No 1991/2002 and No 2257/2003 Of the European Parliament and of the Council, Commission Regulation (EC) No 1897/2000 and 430/2005 According to these definitions, the Labor Force (active population) comprises all persons who work (at least 1 hour per week) or actively seeking work in order to earn their living.
