Interviewer instructions
A dwelling is defined as the building ar buildings in which members of the household live. There may be more than 1 building within the same compound and one household in which members of the hosuehold live. There may be more than one building within the same compound and one household may occupy a number of buildings constituing a dwelling /compound. Any structure will be considered to be a dwelling if it is used for living purposes. Feee standing traditional kitchens used only for cooking anbd not for living or sleeping would not be considred as dwellings.
Structures such as garages not intended for habitation but being used for such a purpose are considered dwellings.
