The present report is the first among two reports to be released on the unorganised service sector (excluding Trade and Finance) based on the data collected through Schedule 2.345. It discusses, among other things, the size of the unorganised service sector in India, number of persons employed, yearly gross value added, fixed assets and loans of the enterprises, wages, etc. The relevant concepts and definitions used in this survey are presented in Section Two. The major findings based on the survey data are discussed in Section Three. The detailed statistical tables are presented in Appendix A. Appendix B discusses the sample design and estimation procedure for the survey. |
