Description The present report, the second in the series, discussed some salient features, like distribution of these enterprises and their employment by ownership type, source of energy used, agency of registration, nature of operation, social group of the owner and location of premises, of the unorganised manufacturing and repairing units. While chapter one of this report gives an introductory note, chapter two discusses important concepts and definitions followed in the survey. Chapter three presents sample design and estimation procedure adopted and chapter four summarises the salient features. Detailed statistical tables are appended to this report.
