• smokeless tobacco use (frequency of use, age when first started using smokeless tobacco, types of smokeless tobacco used)
• cessation (smoking cessation attempts, types of cessation aids, whether received cessation advice from a health care provider)
• secondhand smoke (exposure to secondhand smoke, inside and outside the home, indoors and outdoors)
• economics (money spent on tobacco, types of cigarettes purchased, places cigarettes purchased)
• media (exposure to media and smoking advertisements)
• knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions (beliefs about health effects of tobacco use)
