    Series Information

    This component of the High Frequency Survey-Market Price Survey (HFS-MPS) collects daily exchange rate and weekly market price data. The initiative is designed by the World Bank, jointly implemented with the South Sudan National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) and funded by a Trust Fund from DfID and the Multi Donor Trust Fund for Sustainable Logistics. The Market Price Survey (MPS) has been conducted in 6 major towns since 2012 and were recently expanded to 16 locations.

    Abstract

    This component of the High Frequency Survey-Market Price Survey (HFS-MPS) collects weekly market price data. The initiative is designed by World Bank, jointly implemented with the South Sudan National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) and funded by a Trust Fund from DfID and the Multi Donor Trust Fund for Sustainable Logistics. The Market Price Survey (MPS) and Exchange Rate Survey (ERS) have been conducted in 6 major towns since 2012 and were recently expanded to 16 locations. The dataset has 62,646 observations and 6 variables from 2012 to September 2017. It contains weekly price data for 36 consumer items for 17 locations.
