In FY2017, surveys were conducted in 35 countries. Nearly all of the World Bank Group's client countries are surveyed in every three year cycle.

The results of this year’s Country Survey were compared to those in the Country Survey conducted in FY ‘14 (response rate was 32%, N = 150). Unfortunately, the samples from FY14 and FY17 were quite disparate in terms of their representation of stakeholder groups and given the overall sample sizes, it would not be statistically sound to weight them to be more similar. Hence, changes in responding between FY14 and FY17 may be due to actual changes in the country, but it is also possible that these changes are due, in some part, to differences in the respondents. To view the stakeholder breakdowns and year comparison results, please refer to Appendix D (see page 75) of the survey report provided as related materials.
The questionnaire was administered in English. The questionnaires is provided as related materials.
