The Household Income and Expenditure Survey is a nationally representative survey conducted by the National Statistical Office of Mongolia. Its main objectives are to evaluate and monitor the income and expenditure of households, to provide the basis for poverty monitoring system, poverty mapping and poverty reduction policies, to update the basket and the weights for the consumer price index, and to offer inputs to the national accounts.
