The Census of Training Colleges has been conducted, since 1960. This census is the the fourty fifth one in a series of censuses conducted annually. This census provides valuable information about goverment school and teachers to policy makers, planners and researchers..
The questionnaire is filled by Principals of the schools and it contains following parts.
- Details of Training Teachers
- Details about the service personals
- Details about the Teachers who did not complete the training
- Details about the Teachers who successfully completed &
failed during the period of 2005-06-01 to 2006-06-30
- Information about the teaching staff as at 2006 June 1st
- Common InstructionsThe Ministry of Education has conducted an uninterrupted series of annual training college census for well over four decades.
The main objective of the census is to collect following information
- Details of the training teachers
- Details of the other service personals
- Teachers who did not complete the training
- Teachers who completed the training
- Teaching staff of the training institute.

failed during the period of 2005-06-01 to 2006-05-30

The questionnaire is posted to the Principals of the training colleges.
The Principal is responsible for filling up the questionnaire and posted back to the Ministry of Education
Data enntry is done by the Statistical unit of the Ministry
Data processing
Manual data editing and coding is done by the zonal offices.
