    Abstract

This Results Monitoring Survey (RMS) was conducted in 2024 across the Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals (FDMN) camps in Cox’s Bazar and Bhasan Char, as well as the surrounding host communities. The survey aimed to assess the effectiveness of humanitarian interventions and their impact on both refugee and host populations, in line with UNHCR's results-based management framework.

Stratified random sampling was used to select households, with UNHCR household databases serving as the sampling frame, to ensure statistical representativeness across key disaggregations, including age, gender, disability status, site (Cox’s Bazar/Bhasan Char), and population group (refugee or host).

    Sampling Procedure

Stratified random sampling was used to select households, with UNHCR household databases serving as the sampling frame, to ensure statistical representativeness across key disaggregations, including age, gender, disability status, site (Cox’s Bazar/Bhasan Char), and population group (refugee or host).

    Weighting

The RMS employed a stratified household sampling design with two strata: (i) refugee households and (ii) host community households. The household served as the primary sampling unit. Design (base) weights were calculated separately for each stratum as the ratio of the estimated total number of households within the stratum to the number of households successfully interviewed in that stratum.
