Definition
Marital status: based on the response of the respondent
1. Single: If person had never married, he/she is recorded as single
2. Married: All persons who were married by law or custom or lived with an opposite sex partner as husband/wife are considered as married
3. Widow/Widower: A person whose husband/wife has died but who has not remarried yet
4. Divorced: A person who was married at some time in the past but has been divorced by law and not married yet
5. Separated: A Person who has been married but isnot living with their partner as husband and wife at present.
