KUD (Koperasi Unit Desa = Village Cooperative Unit) is a cooperative formed by members of a village unit (a village or a group of villages), which is the smallest economic unit and has been decreed as a KUD by the government.
Other financial institutions are insurance companies, pawnbrokers, and other money-lending institutions but not usurers.
