B_SAMPLE_ PARTICULARS
This file contains data related to the first three (3) blocks of the CPS questionnaire, namely Blocks A, B and C. Specifically, this dataset covers information that identifies the sample household, the listed operator and the respondent/informant, sample status, the size of agricultural and corn area operated and type of corn cultivated by the sample household. The last few items pertain to data on corn harvested during the past quarter like type of corn harvested and a few details about irrigation. These information are all found on page 1 of the CPS 2009 questionnaire.

C1_CORN PRODUCTION
This file contains data related to Section C1 (Area production and Seed Information for the Past Quarter) of Block C (Information on Corn Harvested) specifically area, months and quantity of harvest and corresponding month and area planted as well as seed usage. Varietal characteristics and class of seeds planted are also found in this dataset. All these items are found on page 2 of the CPS 2009 questionnaire.

C2_FERTILIZER_USAGE
This file contains data related to usage of yield-enhancing inputs or fertilizers found in Section C2 (Fertilizer and Pesticides) of Block C (Information on Corn Harvested). Specifically, the file contains data on inorganic, organic, and other yield enhancing inputs applied on the entire or portion of the harvested area.
Inorganic inputs are grouped into two: the first four solid fertilizer grades commonly used by farmers, namely, urea, ammonium phosphate, ammonium sulphate and complete (which are categorized as “inorganic fertilizers”) and "other inorganic inputs" which may be in solid or liquid form. Organic inputs may also come in solid and liquid forms. All items contained in this file are found on page 3 of the CPS 2009 questionnaire. |
C3_PESTICIDE_USAGE
This file contains data related to usage of yield-protecting inputs or pesticides found in Section C2 (Fertilizer and Pesticides) of Block C (Information on Corn Harvested). Specifically, the file contains items on the types and quantity of pesticides applied on the entire or portion of the harvested area.

D_DISPOSITION_AND_UTILIZATION
This file contains information on the disposition and utilization of the sample household's harvest during the past quarter found in in Block D (Corn Utilization and Disposition) of the CPS 2009 questionnaire.
By type of corn (white and yellow) and product form (shelled corn, ears of matured corn and green corn), the following disposition items are laid out in Block D: sold, home consumption, given as landlord's share, given/paid to farm labourers, for seeds, used as payment of loan, used as irrigation fee, used for feeds and wastage. Ali Block D items are found on page 5 of the CPS 2009 questionnaire. |
E_PRODUCTION_FORECAST
This file contains data related to expected area and production of the sample household based on standing crop. It also contains data on month and area planted as well as the some varietal characteristics of seed used.
Items in this file are found on Block E (Corn Production Forecast), page 6 of the CPS 2009 questionnaire. |
F_PLANTING_INTENTION
This file contains items related to the sample household's intention to plant corn as laid out in Block F (Corn Planting Intentions), page 7 of the CPS 2009 questionnaire. Specifically, information on area to be planted and planting month, along with the corresponding expected harvest month by corn type are contained in this file.

G_PRODUCTION_ASSESSMENT
Data pertaining to the last two blocks of the CPS 2009 questionnare -- Blocks G and H -- are contained in this file. Specifically, Block G items refer to the assessment of the farms corn production relative to that of the same period of the previous year. Block H items, on the other hand, pertain to indications on farmers' awareness and availment of benefits from the GMA-Corn program of the government. All Block G and F items are found on page 8 of the questionnaire.
