1. Both waves of the Russian financial literacy survey (2008 and 2009) have been merged into a single dataset.
2. Balanced panels are identified by the variable Panel_ID, whereas Year represents the time variable.
3. The variables (Q1), (Q39), (Q50) and (Q108) which are associated with Question 1, 39, 50 and 108 were not delivered in the dataset.
4. For questions with an "other" response category (e.g. Q102, Q109 etc.) the information was specified and captured in an additional variable (e.g Q102_oth, Q109_oth, etc.). Though, this information has not been translated into English and properly entered into the data set afterwards.
5. For multiple choice questions, each selection made by the individual is saved as a unique variable. For instance, question 102 allowed for multiple choices and if a person selected 3 of the given options, each of his choice will be a saved as Q102_1, Q102_2 and Q102_3 respectively. For the same question, if another person selected only two items, his choices will be saved under Q102_1 and Q102_2 while the third variable Q102_3 will indicate a missing value (.). If the respondent answered the multiple response question with "Don't know", then only the first variable Q102_1 will be accordingly coded (99). All the other multiple responses variables will be coded as a missing value (.) for this respondent.
